A recent study found that students who study abroad are more likely to get jobs after college. The study, conducted by the British Council, looked at data from over 18,000 students in 33 countries.

The study found that students who had studied abroad were twice as likely to get a job after graduation as those who had not. They were also more likely to be in a better-paid job.

The report said that the skills students acquired while studying abroad – such as independence, problem solving and teamwork – made them more attractive to employers.

“Employers are looking for graduates with global skills and experience and who can think creatively and critically,” said Lynn Myers, Director of Research at the British Council. “Studying abroad provides an opportunity to develop these skills in an authentic context.
