The lawsuits state that due to campus closures and lack of access to in-person lectures, campus amenities, dorms, libraries and student activities, students and others deserve payment for tuition, room and board, and other expenses lost during their spring 2020 college semesters.

The law firm has so far filed class-action lawsuits seeking tuition repayment against Vanderbilt, Brown, BU, George Washington, USC, Duke, Emory and Washington University in St. Louis.

Hagens Berman is investigating universities and colleges across the nation and is seeking to represent students, parents and guardians against any higher education institution that has failed to repay losses due to COVID-19.

Attorneys’ investigation includes all colleges and universities nationwide, and the firm is seeking to represent students, parents and guardians regardless of school.
