The second webinar in the AquaVitae series Low Trophic Life, “Advances in IMTA & Biofloc Research at UFSC” took place on the 17th december 2020.
Esmeralda Chamorro Legard is an Aquaculture Production Engineering with a master and doctorate in sciences in aquaculture. She has been working with shrimp production in biofloc technology (BFT) for 9 years, and the last five years she connected the biofloc technology with integrated multi-trophic aquaculture (IMTA) concept with approach in circular economy. Esmeralda is a postdoctoral student at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina as part of the Aquavitae project.
